Many people suffer with pain, particularly chronic pain, which does not respond to routine medical treatment. Here are some suggestions to help you manage your pain better.

  • keep a positive attitude towards pain management.
  • deal with issues of pain one at a time. Different treatments work for different areas of your body, so one management strategy may not alleviate all the pain.
  • avoid the medication binge! Take medication only at the prescribed time, rather than when you feel pain.
  • consider treatment options there are many available. Some options are helpful to some people, but few work for everyone.Don't be discouraged if the first few treatments you try do not succeed.
